The combination of the stunning natural color and the smooth ocean worn appearance of driftwood, with the elegant design of a chandelier is truly one of the greatest design ideas to have gained traction.
We hope that the delicate driftwood chandeliers below will inspire and spark a little creativity within you.
They are eco friendly, cheap, and most importantly – truly beautiful! So please. Enjoy!

The candle style lights on this chandelier are a great way to combine the natural look of the wood with a natural lighting solution. Using actual candles however is quite a bad idea due to the nature of driftwood being very flammable!

This one for example uses actual candles. While i am sure this has been professionally made – if one of these branches ended up in the candles it could very very easily start a fire.

Now that we have the fire hazard warning out of the way lets take a look at some great ways to get the beauty of driftwood in your home

This circular chandelier has used several bits of driftwood hanging down in a traditional chandelier style. It looks truly stunning.

A nice urban industrial style chandelier. Combining the metal chain with a random looking bunch of driftwood has made this a simple yet attractive light.

two different circular driftwood chandeliers. One in a more designed spherical style, and another in a more sunburst sphere style.

The interior of these pieces of driftwood has been hollowed out to allow the wires for the light bulbs to be hidden. As you can see it is a simply stunning effect!

A different type of chandelier here. It almost looks like the roots of a tree coming through the ceiling!

Several small pieces of wood have been used to make up this chandelier. The have been lightly stained which provides a lovely contrast between the light reflecting off of the wood inside the chandelier and the color on the outside

Why not go a little crazy with your driftwood chandelier? This stunning example gives the impression that it has just been picked up off of the beach and had a light bulb hung inside. (while it has clearly been designed!)

A lovely minimal spherical driftwood chandelier that complements the neutral decor of this room beautifully

A driftwood chandelier has not got to be fancy! in fact this basic one is one of my favorites. The combination of the wood and the metal is amazing.

The first example we have seen that has a plank of wood used instead of individual twigs and logs. It gives the feeling of something you would expect to find in an old wooden ships cabin.

A great example of how you can combined the naturally sun-bleached look of driftwood with silver fixtures to create an elegant and contemporary chandelier made from driftwood

Another great urban looking example. The simple dual light bulb combination gives an understated feel to the chandelier

There is so much driftwood on this chandelier that you can barley see t he light bulb inside. It is a shame this photo was taken in the daytime as I bet this creates some amazing shadows when at night!

The bright yellow base of this chandelier starkly contrasts against the natural light color of the timber. It has also been tiered in a typical glass chandelier fashion which as i am sure you will agree looks stunning!

Using old rope to cover the wires of your chandelier is a great way to keep the natural look which you would loose slightly if you were able to see the exposed wiring.

This contemporary chandelieris literally just a branch of a tree that has been washed ashore and had a few fairy lights intertwined within it. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best – i love this one!

The way the bright white light bulbs shine on this driftwood chandelier creates a stunning effect. The shadows it creates within the light itself are stunning!

This chandelier would certainly create some interesting shadows! the shadows that are cast by these awesome natural lights are something that many people tend to overlook.

A very minimal and contemporary example here. It gives a very light and airy feel to the room – lovely!

the way these pecies of driftwood have been tied together with string to form the frame of the chandelier is a great way to combine more natural materials into your lights

You can kind of see what we are talking about here with regards to the shadows created by the wood blocking the light. It can be a great effect when used correctly.

This one is quite a mish mash! it combines a large bundle of driftwood twigs with the traditional glass beads and lampshades of a normal chandelier!
Is a whole chandelier a little bit too much for your room? Why not consider a driftwood lamp instead?
