Crema Caramel granite is possibly one of the lightest granite variations available, as it is prominently cream or beige colored. Like most kinds of granite, this beautiful beige and grey polished stone from Mediterranean Europe, particularly Portugal and Spain, can be used for a number of indoor and outdoor projects, most notably kitchen counters and flooring.
Because of the light beige or even slight pink color, which is said to have less variation than other kinds of granite, it is used more often in lighter settings and color schemes, like predominantly white or beige kitchens, even though it could provide a beautiful, contrasting backdrop for darker furniture.
Also thanks to its very light color, as well as the water and stain resistance that it’s already been mentioned, crema caramel is often used in outdoor spaces, particularly as garden paths and poolside flooring. In this case, the fact that the stone is quite durable and resistant works greatly in its favor, as it becomes a natural choice for the outside because it will stand the test of time and inclement weather, retaining its fresh look, something not all kinds of stones, and even materials and general, can do.
While the fact that granite is resistant to acids – meaning it will not react to cleaning products and other acids, makes it a perfect choice for countertops as well as flooring, crema caramel’s light coloring sets it apart from others, and widens its range of applications even further. It may, however, show imperfections in the slabs more easily, so it is important that you choose your own slabs personally and carefully, to make sure you only get perfect slabs.
Also, unlike other granites, which may be darker, crema caramel is perfect as a bathroom countertop, because it goes well with the usually lighter color scheme used for bathrooms, and it is also a great centerpiece to a non-traditional bathroom setup with wooden cabinets, which is quite trendy and unusual
Alas, its light color allows it to look nice among living room, bedroom and other rooms’ color schemes, meaning crema caramel granite can create a beautiful accent at the top of dressing tables, and even coffee tables.
To add a Mediterranean feel to your home, you can also use this granite on living room or hallway walls, where it will look beautiful and different from traditional wall designs.
Like most granite, Crema Caramel isn’t necessarily affordable. You can expect to pay in the reigon of $40-$50 Per square foot for a 3cm thick slab. Which may make certain applications (floor tiles) a little too expensive for many budgets.
However it is a beautiful, resistant and versatile material to remodel your home with, and we heartily recommend it.
