Think of a round bed and the first thing that will come to mind is possibly a cheesy throwback from the 1960’s or 1970’s. Complete with velvet bed sheets and cheesy music.
Well today we hope to change that opinion – because round and circular beds are making a comeback in a big way.
They can be ultra modern and contemporary, or regal and ornate. The range of options on the market today is really quite stunning. Due to their increase in popularity the costs of round beds are coming down drastically. And for basic beds you can expect to pay as little as $200 – $400 extra when compared to a rectangular traditional bed of the same quality.
However the mattresses can be a problem – and while many beds will come supplied with a mattress when you are looking to replace it after a few years of usage it can cost quite a bit more than a normal standard shape and size mattress.
That being said – we think they are certainly worth the additional costs when used in conjunction with the right decor.
